"Princess Maria & Her Prince"  By Anonymous

"Once upon a time lived a beautiful little princess named Maria.

When Princess Maria was 13 years old, she went to her parents and said, "Where is my prince, why won't he come to me?"

Her mother, the queen, said to Princess Maria, "Be patient little one, he will come to you..."

When Princess Maria was 17 years old, she went to her parents and said, "Where is my prince, why won't he come to me?"

Her father, the king, said to Princess Maria, "Be patient my sweet daughter, everything will come to those who wait."

When Princess Maria was 20 years old, she went to her parents again and said, "My prince will never come to me.  I will go off and look for him."

Her parents, the king and the queen, said, "Listen to us, your prince will arrive when the time is right."

When Princess Maria was 25 years old, she didn't go to her parents to ask where her prince was.  Instead she took her horse and without her parents permission she left the castle and set off into the distance to find her prince.

Princess Maria traveled for days, from village to village and asked where her prince was, but no one knew.  As she continued her long journey to find her prince, she found herself lost in the woods, alone, hungry and tired.  She was so afraid that she finally got off her horse, threw herself on the ground and started crying.  "Not only have I not found my prince, but I don't even know where I am.  I will be alone here forever, no one will find me!"

Then suddenly, Princess Maria heard a sound in the distance.  As she looked up, she saw a man on a horse coming to her.  As soon as he arrived, he got off his horse and gently helped her up.  He saw that she was crying, so the man took out his handkerchief, wiped off her tears and said, "Are you Princess Maria?"

"Yes I am, and you are?" asked Princess Maria.

"I am Prince Ianin.  I came to your castle looking for you but the king and queen didn't know where you were, so they sent me to find you."

"I went looking for my prince, and I looked for days..."  said Princess Maria.

"Did you happen to find him?" asked Prince Ianin.

"No I did not, and I am not sure if I ever will" replied Maria with tears in her face.

"Prince Ianin once again wiped off her tears with his handkerchief and said, "I am also looking for my princess, I looked for a long time and I think I found her."

"Really?" asked Princess Maria.  "Where is she then?"

"She is standing in front of me, and she is the loveliest princess there is..." replied Prince Ianin.

Princess Maria was suddenly overwhelmed with joy and said, "Oh yes!  Oh yes, yes!  I am your princess, and you are my prince!  I have finally found you!"

Both Princess Maria and Prince Ianin embraced each other and shared a kiss.  Then they got on their horse and rode back to Princess Maria's castle.

When Queen Maria and King Ianin were sitting on their throne, Princess Tiffany, their beautiful 13 year old daughter, came to them and said, "Where is my prince, why won't he come to me?"

The End...
